Abstract

The innovative technologies have not only revolutionized the different industries but have also greatly enhanced the growth of the economy by developing new growth opportunities. There are various sectors of economic development where technological innovation and economic development in the region can be seen. Although this is a positive correlation, there are still parts of the world that are unable to fully benefit economically due to technological innovation. R&D investment, technological infrastructure, and human capital are some of the factors that create an imbalance in the economic development of the regions. China has experienced a highly dynamic and profound economic development and transformation, with the country's economic growth mainly driven by the transformation of the national economic structure and technological development in different regions. Regionally, the paper will discuss how technological innovation and regional economic growth occur, the current issues, for example, economic disparities resulting from uneven technological development, and what can be done to enhance R&D investment, further transformation of innovative success, and human capital development and attraction, especially in economically underdeveloped areas like central and western China.
